Korean Chicken Wings with Spicy Cracked Pepper Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Spicy Cracked Pepper Straight Cut Fries
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ tablespoon dried rosemary leaves
  • 1.5 tablespoon Korean chilli flakes (Gochugaru)
  • 3 tablespoon Korean chili paste (Gochujang)
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tonkatsu sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 to 2 bird’s eye chili, seeded and minced
  • Green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seed

Directions

  1. Rinse chicken wings in cold water and drain.
  2. In a bowl, add milk, salt, black pepper and rosemary leaves, mix well. Add rinsed chicken wings in the bowl. Cover and leave in the fridge and drain after 20 minutes.
  3. To create the Korean BBQ sauce, add Korean chili flakes, Korean chili paste, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce and oyster sauce to a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  4. Put chicken wings in a large zipper lock bag, add the Korean BBQ sauce, seal the bag and shake.
  5. Marinate chicken for at least 4 hours in the fridge.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  7. Spread frozen fries in air fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
  8. Add marinated chicken wings to preheated air fryer and cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  9. Garnish cooked chicken wings with sesame seeds and green onion. Enjoy!
