Waffle Fry Caprese Plate

Ingredients

  • Cavendish Farms Restaurant Style Waffle Fries
  • 4 fresh garden tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 bunch fresh Compliments basil (leaves)
  • One package of Compliments mozzarella slices, separated and halved (12 slices)
  • To taste Compliments Balsamic Vinegar
  • To taste Compliments Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • To taste salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Bake waffle fries in an oven or air fryer according to package directions.
  2. Stack a tomato slice, basil leaf, and mozzarella slice, in that order, then repeat. Make 12 stacks in total.
  3. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  4. Create a base layer for your stack by overlapping 3 baked waffle fries on a sheet pan. Place tomato, basil, and mozzarella layers on each waffle fry, then put in oven on broil until cheese has melted.
  5. Set 3 waffle fries (with toppings) on each plate.
  6. Drizzle stacks with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Add a few more basil leaves on top for decoration.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
