Coldest Night of the Year 2025

J.D. Irving, Limited employees from Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick,Ontario,and Alberta participated in Coldest Night of the Year. The national walk raises money for charities serving those most in need in the community. This walk, during a cold winter’s night, demonstrates some of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger.
Prince Edward Islandhad two teams from Cavendish Farms. Employees walked for Harvest House PEI in Charlottetown and LifeHouse Emergency Shelter in Summerside. Harvest House PEI helps struggling Islanders transition to a healthier life.LifeHouse Emergency Shelter helps individuals who find themselves temporarily homeless and are in a time of transition in their lives.
Employees from J.D. Irving’s and Cavendish Farms’ Head Office in Dieppe, New Brunswick walked for Youth Impact Jeunesse. The charity offers residential and community outreach services for homeless and at-risk youth across New Brunswick.
Employees working for Irving Wallboard walked in Saint John, New Brunswick to raise money for Outflow Saint John. The charity addresses unemployment, hunger, homelessness, and medical costs for those living in poverty.
Employees from Cavendish Farms inWheatley, Ontario walked for Downtown Mission of Windsor. The charity offers food and shelter to those seeking care and support.
Cavendish Farms Lethbridge, Alberta employees supported Streets Alive Mission. Theyhelp those struggling with poverty through programs that lift people out of homelessness and bring hope.
Employees in the six locations raised $18,495 for their respective organizations. Thank you!
