Sausage with Kettle-Style Wedges

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Crispy Classic Crinkle Wedge
  • A bag of hot dog buns
  • 1 cup of thinly sliced onion
  • 1 bag of sausages of choice
  • 1 bag of mixed kale salad
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup of Ketchup
  • 1 cup of Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Salt and pepper, to season

Directions

  1. Cook Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Crispy Classic Crinkle Wedge in an oven or air fryer according to packaging instructions.
  2. In a well-heated pan, add olive oil and add sausages into the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown. Add thinly sliced onion and season with salt and pepper. Cook onions until caramelized and set aside.
  3. In the same well heated pan, add butter and hot dog buns. Toast for 1 min or until golden brown.
  4. To make the salad dressing, in a small bowl, mix remaining olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey (replace with maple syrup if vegan), balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic. Transfer dressing into a bigger bowl and add mixed kale salad, toss well.
  5. Layer hotdog with onions and drizzle mustard and ketchup. Add Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Crispy Classic Crinkle Wedge and kale salad on the side. Serve while hot!
