Crispy Classic Straight Cut Fries
Made from premium potatoes, this classic French fry is sure to be a quick and convenient crowd pleaser. Perfect as a snack, side, or ingredient in your favourite recipe. Made in Canada from domestic and imported ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Classic Straight Cut Fries
- 1 white onion
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup gruyère cheese
- 1 cup cheese curds
Directions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Spread Straight Cut Fries in an air fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
- To prep, thinly slice onion and set aside. Roughly chop fresh thyme and set aside.
- To a medium - heat pan, add olive oil. Add onions and cook until caramelized, which will take 30 - 35 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and stir until smooth. Add in flour and stir until the gravy thickens, which will take 2 - 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- To a plate, add cooked Straight Cut Fries. Top fries with gruyère cheese and Onion Soup Gravy.
- Garnish with cheese curds and thyme and enjoy while hot!
