Loaded Chicken Shawarma Waffle Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Cavendish Farms Restaurant Style Waffle Fries
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced, divided
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice, divided
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ​​4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless​
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup pickled turnips, chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 2 small to medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup parsley, roughly chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat air-fryer to 400°F.
  2. Spread Waffle Fries in a single layer in air-fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
  3. To prep, combine 2 minced garlic cloves, 3 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp olive oil, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add and evenly coat the chicken thighs. Marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes per side until cooked through and slightly charred. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. For the garlic yogurt sauce, mix the Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1 tbsp lemon juice in a small bowl. Season to taste and set aside.
  6. Place the cooked Waffle Fries on a large serving plate. Top with cooked chicken, pickled turnips, diced tomatoes, red onion and parsley. Drizzle generously with garlic sauce!
