Cranberry Baked Brie with Waffle Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Cavendish Farms Restaurant Style Waffle Fries
  • 1 8oz wheel brie cheese, rind trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • ½ cup pecan halves, chopped
  • ¼ cup cranberries
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Cook Cavendish Farms Restaurant Style Waffle Fries in an oven according to package directions. Remove cooked fries and set aside
  3. Lower pre-heated oven to 350°F. Place brie on a rimmed baking sheet or a 5-inch cast iron skillet, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of brown sugar on top and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove brie from oven and set aside for 5 minutes to cool.
  4. In a medium heated saucepan, combine remaining brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally until foamy for about 1-2 minutes. Stir in pecans and cranberries.
  5. Garnish brie with cranberry mixture, walnuts, and remaining orange zest. Add Cavendish Farms Restaurant Style Waffle Fries on the side and enjoy!
